This resource pack contains a teacher presentation revising descriptions of home and making comparisons. This teacher PPT is 18 slides and includes speaking and writing practice of which house they prefer and justification for their opinion. There is also a kinaesthetic reading resource where the teacher cuts up six comparative sentences and places them in envelopes with the translation on the outside of the envelope. Pupils work in groups or independently to translate the sentences. These are easy to edit for your own purpose. There are 11 slides of celebrity homes to be printed out for prompt cards for the speaking and writing task. There is also a vocabulary support sheet to help pupils. These resources were used in an observation where I was judged "outstanding". It is a really fun and meaningful lesson.

This pack of resources contains a teacher PPT that has a word search recapping on directions. There is then a grammar slide where pupils categorise genders of where they are going to using aller + au, à la, à l' and aux. There is then a consolidation slide with modelled answers for pupils to complete written or spoken work. Pupils then complete a worksheet which is a word puzzle consolidating the language. There is a solution to this puzzle on the teacher presentation. There is also a word search of 14 places that are used within the teacher presentation and within Expo. As a plenary the teacher calls out places they are going to visit and the pupils play bingo.

A set of 32 questions for pupils to ask the Foreign Language Assistant in French. This is great for making the pupils at ease with the FLA and practices formulating questions. Most of the questions are appropriate for the FLA to ask to the pupils then. It is a great ice-breaker. There is also a slide modelling how pupils can introduce themselves to the FLA, Excellent speaking practice, this can be used as a whole class activity or for small group or pair work. The questions are easy to print and can be stuck into books for revision.

The amounts and the sentences are cut out and the student awards the amounts to the sentences dependent on spelling and grammar errors. This is a really fun kinaesthetic activity that reinforces grammar and encourages pupils to proof read work checking spellings, agreements, genders etc

A colour coded resource whereby the French is provided back to front e.g. oda = ado = adolescent. Pupils write out the French correctly for the 56 vocab items and then translate. The solution is also provided. This is a fun way of learning vocab and as there are several expressions it is suited to pupils completing in pairs or teams. It is easy to change the text to one colour if you don't want the text colour coded according to gender. Easy to print too.

The second is a rectangle puzzle that is filled up with triangles. A range of resources to introduce the Olympic sports. The teacher PowerPoint includes a summary slide of the disciplines and a quick quiz of 10 sports to match up (this is easy to edit). There are 3 resources to test and reinforce knowledge of the disciplines; a crossword which is accompanied by a solution, there is also a word cloud containing the disciplines whereby the pupils translate the disciplines. Finally there is a word search containing 19 of the sports , pupils translate the sports and find the German. This is a really good selection of resources to introduce the games. All resources are easy to print.

Engaging starter or plenary to recap on the present, future and past tense. Pupils serve the pronoun to match up with the correct verb(teacher or pupil clicks on matching pair). This will quickly highlight areas for pupil development. It is easy to change the verbs and the tenses if you want to challenge your pupils with other verbs or tenses.

It could also be set as a homework task. Included also in this presentation is a thinking skills match up exercise revealing key Olympic facts. The teacher presentation also contains a list of all events, a further slide is included which shows which sports go with jouer/faire. There is also a speaking task here based on "tu aimes" with "jouer/faire" + sport. There is a slide with links to two authentic websites to find out more info. - There are two word clouds included whereby pupils find key vocabulary one containing 12 phrases, the harder one containing 18 phrases - there is a starter/ plenary with 10 vocab expressions to be matched up (easy to edit) - there is a card sort of 12 phrases in English and French to match up (teacher solution provided to display on the board( - there are two word searches; one with 27 phrases related to the games and some sporting disciplines, the other with 40 sports to find These resources are ideal for end of term activities and revising sports. The website links can encourage independent work. All resources are easy to print.

An 85 word account of someone's addiction to fashion. Pupils read the account and then complete a crossword demonstrating understanding of the extract. The second exercise is a categorisation of 14 statements of people's attitudes towards fashion - whether they are a fashion victim or not. This leads to pupils writing independently about their own attitudes towards fashion. They use the vocabulary from the first two exercises and are also provided with further expressions to exploit. This resource supports students providing opinions and justifying arguments. It is also a fun way of leading on to speaking practice debating the importance of fashion. Easy to print and edit.

20 questions in the present, past, future and conditional tense for pupils to ask each other to get to know each other. Depending on the pupils' ability the teacher might revise formulating questions first. This is a great activity when meeting new classes.

Divide pupils into pairs and ask pupils to set up into teams on either end of the classroom. Pupils run/walk to their partner. Partner 1 reads out the phrases and partner 2 writes down the phrase. The objective being to write down phrases correctly with accurate spellings and accents. They then swap roles. The winning team presents the teacher with 5 accurate sentences. This is a fun way of getting pupils working collaboratively and improving listening and written skills.
